Bethuadahari Wildlife Sanctuary

Bethuadahari Wildlife Sanctuary is located at Bethuadahari town. This area also knon as Nakashipara area of Nadia District in West Bengal, India. The sanctuary is located beside National Highway 34. This sanctuary covers 67 hectares and established in 1980.

This sanctuary has a large population of spotted deer (known as chital), jackal, fox, porcupine, and common langur. Bird species include parakeets, Indian cuckoos, barbets and other smaller birds. Reptiles and amphibians include pythons, monitor lizards and gharials can be spotted here. One type of small crocodile also can be seen here. The sanctuary is wonderful space for photographers and tourists. All should visit the place occasionally. The amazing rock python is the greatest attraction of the forest. This Sanctuary is a popular picnic spot too.

Kalyani Lake

Kalyani Lake Garden is located in Halisahar, in the city of Kalyani in West Bengal. This beautiful lake is surrounded by a well maintained garden which can be reached in 10-15 minutes from Ghoshpara station in Kalyani. Since the lake is flanked by different types of trees forming shades, you can spot different species of birds resting here. Some of them can be even migratory birds. Some of the birds are Tree Pie, Purple Heron, Kingfisher, and Indian Pond Heron. There is no fixed rent for the place; it depends on the season and the spot you choose.
