Jore Pokhri Wildlife Sanctuary is situated on the way to Sandakphu in Darjeeling District in West Bengal. It is the habitat of some high-altitude animals like Himalayan Salamander (Tylototriton verrucosus), locally known as ‘Gora’. It also houses many other local animals such as the rhino, tiger, and many different birds.

How to Reach
By Air: The closest airport is at Bagdogra.
By Rail: The closest railway station is the New Jalpaiguri (NJP).
By Road: The sanctuary is arranged very close to the India-Nepal border and from Ghum to Mirik it is 21 km from Darjeeling, you can reach Jore Pokhri Wildlife Sanctuary.
Accommodation
Accommodation facilities are available in Jorepokhri Tourist Lodge.
Also you can stay at Lepchajagath. There are so many homestays available at affordable cost including full day food package.
